Drop brass weighted end through bore, initial floss removes loose debris. Phosphor bronze short brushes then remove hardened residue. Main floss super-cleans the bore. All in one quick movement.
Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 67 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by You Owe It To Your Firearm To Have One of These I have one of these in several calibers. They are a quick and effective way of cleaning the bore. Do be careful when pulling the snake through/around the chamber, as the metal bristles could damage the finish if they come in contact. April 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by if you own guns, you need this I bought one for my Savage 270. Kept cleaning all my other guns like I always have. I've since tried the BoreSnake a few times on my 270, now I'm going to get one of every caliber I own. October 23, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good purchase Cleans barrel fast, easy, and thorough. A must for cleaning multiple firearms. August 4, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by A must have for 10/22 owners Great product. I highly recommend this if you own a 10/22 or any other .22 rifle for that matter. Just spray a little Rem oil on the brushes and the bore is perfectly clean on the FIRST pass! And best of all there's no danger of scraping the sides of your bore or damaging the crown like there would be with a regular cleaning rod. For larger centerfires I would stick with a regular rod/patch but for rimfires these just can't be beat. July 16, 2011

A:
Negative. It will only remove fouling. The salts are actually in the primer. To clean the corrosives, hot soapy water must be used, and then I recommend removing excess water with a compressor, and oil the weapon.
