Drop brass weighted end through bore, initial floss removes loose debris. Phosphor bronze short brushes then remove hardened residue. Main floss super-cleans the bore. All in one quick movement.
Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 67 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by just clean it the right way.... I bought one of these to clean my 12ga with, and still had to run patches through it to actually get it clean. I wish I would have just saved my money. March 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple and Sweet These are a must for me. I have one for every caliber of gun I have. They are easy to use and easy to store. Although you should still occasionally disassemble your guns for a good cleaning, the bore snake lets you do quick, easy barrel cleaning in a matter of seconds without taking anything apart. Rated 5 out of 5 by Boresnake The Boresnake cleans the barrel to an ultra shine. it clears out all the debris and grit in one pass. If the barrel is extra dirty, a second pass thru will get out any remaining powder residue. I use Boresnakes in all my shotguns and rifles as well. The one piece design is an asset as well. There isn't any loose parts to deal with or screw togeather. Just pull it thru the barrel and done. January 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by essential part of your firearm cleaning kit i have one in every caliber and use them with every cleaning, along with my universal cleaning kit. i use a little hoppe's solvent in front of the brushes and do a couple passes. cleaning is a breeze. i put them in an old sock and tie the top. throw it in the washer and hang it dry. A:
Negative. It will only remove fouling. The salts are actually in the primer. To clean the corrosives, hot soapy water must be used, and then I recommend removing excess water with a compressor, and oil the weapon.
