Excellent jig because it offers something unique in the water... it has both silicone and rubber which give it a subtle action that alot of other jigs don't have. It is easy to use with a spinning rod or baitcaster. Best atribute about it is that it skips really well when paired with the right trailer. Color options cover clear to fairly stained.

I fish these in my local river for redeye bass and largemouth. I have caught fish anywhere from a quarter of a pound to three pound river fish with these. Great small pond and creek bait. I use a netbait baby paca craw trailer to match.

I have not found round headed jigs with cross-eyes to be very good as swimjigs. How would you rate it for swimming and dense cover?Answers
A:Â
I don't think there is any such thing as a snag proof jig but I would rate this jig as better than most to work through heavy cover areas.Top 500 Contributor

As a swim jig, probably not a good idea. An arkie head jig with a vertical eye would be better IMO. As far as a dense cover jig, it's one of the best I've ever fished. This jig excells in rock and rubble cover. It also does well in wood, but it really shines in rip rap, chunk rock, boulders, fist rock, etc...For casting jigs into deep water a football-head jig is still you're best option, but if you're looking for a finesse type jig to flip, pitch and cast in snaggy situations in less than 20' of water, this is it!Details:Â
What trailers worked well for you while using this?Answers

I think that the paca chunk jr. is the way to go. It doesn't eat up the entire hook and it creates great action in the water.A:Â
My favorite trailer for this jig was the Yum Craw Papi.Top 500 Contributor
A:Â
The Craw Papi is a great trailer for this jig. The Yum Chunk is also excellent. In ultra clear water and high pressure situations, the Yum Baby Crawbug and BPS Incredible Craw are great.Top 250 Contributor
A:Â
I am using the YUM craw papi and the big-o-craw in the 3.5'"size.A:Â
Well, I would use a twin tail grub. I use one made by Berkley. The grub just gives it more action.A:Â
this sometimes depends on how u plan 2 fish it. If u want a lot of vibe and claw movement i would go with the smaller money craw. If u r hopping or skipping i would use a yum chunk. try 2 match the trailer colors with the jig colorsDetails:Â
I'm just wondering what color to buy. Which one got more bites, more catches.Answers

I bought the nest robber and the black and blue designs. The nest robber has a crayfish appearance and the black and blue work great in stained waters.Top 500 Contributor

The Phantom Craw seems to work the best in my neck of the woods. The River Craw is the safest bet though.1 of 1
