Bomber® Slab Spoon
These slab spoons are amazing for white bass and wipers. My 5 year old can catch fish on them. They are so versitile as either a jigging spoon, casting, or trolling. I found BPS pricing to be about 50 cents each cheaper than where I was getting them. You will go throuth them though they are a hunk of lead with a trebblie hook. Buy plenty and hang on for the fun. Make sure you use a good quaility swivel or you will have a ton of line twist after the first cast. I have a few with most of the paint chipped off and they still catch fish.

Winter Sandbass Bonanza
Find some 25- 45 ft. deep flats with a creek or river channel giong thru it and start sonor scanning for big balls of fish stacked up on the bottom and let one right down on them and watch out . Usually I get bit as it drops but always by the 3rd or 4th jiggin jerk . You follow these balls of fish around and you can easily catch 50-70 fish an hour . It really can be addictive and cause lack of attention to what really counts. The constant hunt for the holy grail of freshwater fishing , a world record crappie. The key colors are white and yellow but the silver with blue or black can be deadly too. I really couldn't give a review as to its getter done attitude where casting is envolved but it does pretty good for sandies trolling other times of the year when they are suspending instead of feeding. But I find that rattletraps and plain old white marabou jigs are better for this .

This jigging spoon is my go to lure in the winter months. I use the 11/4 ounce size and catch white bass, striper, black bass, catfish and drum. A true multi species bait.

The Best Slab
I use the chartreuse Bomber slab on Lake Livingston when fishing for white bass. Its good for trolling as well as vertical jigging. Its a proven producer, and the chartreuse is the color of choice in this application. Sometimes the white and chrome do okay too.
