Bomber Slab Spoon
The Best Slab
I use the chartreuse Bomber slab on Lake Livingston when fishing for white bass. Its good for trolling as well as vertical jigging. Its a proven producer, and the chartreuse is the color of choice in this application. Sometimes the white and chrome do okay too.

I have several different colors in different sizes, and have found an application for one or another in every fishing situation. These things cast a mile, even the 1/4 ounce, and have a great wobble action on the retrieve. The finishes are good, and the slab spoon even performs well as the finish gets knocked off. I have caught large mouth and small mouth bass, yellow perch, steelhead, bluegill and even a catfish with these things. Very versitile lure, and one does not need a lot of "finesse" abilities to fish these spoons. Just throw the thing out there and real it back. Good fishing!

These slab spoons are amazing for white bass and wipers. My 5 year old can catch fish on them. They are so versitile as either a jigging spoon, casting, or trolling. I found BPS pricing to be about 50 cents each cheaper than where I was getting them. You will go throuth them though they are a hunk of lead with a trebblie hook. Buy plenty and hang on for the fun. Make sure you use a good quaility swivel or you will have a ton of line twist after the first cast. I have a few with most of the paint chipped off and they still catch fish.

Nugget of goodness
These little jobs are just incredible for picking up natural trout down in the river. I use the 1/4 oz in chrome and blue scale. The finishis durable as all get out and it comes with some super-sticky hooks. Best of all is the cross section of this "spoon". It's almond shaped and as such it has a unique wobble and incredible flash. Best of al it casts about a mile.
Throw it out, let it sink in the current and then yo-yo it back to you. by lifting the rod tip and pumping down.
