The kings love this thing. even after catching them all day the lure barely had a scratch. Wish they carried them in store.

I use this for strippers on Watts Bar and Melton Hill. This lure has big strong hooks, loud rattles and good action. It's shallow retrieve makes it great for rocks feeding on shad in shallow and rocky locations.

They float, however their not quick to float to the surface. They will suspend in the strike zone.A:Â
These are floating lures. They float slightly tail down on the water.A:Â
I agree with the answer from DirtyDingus. But, the retrieve speed has a lot to do with the depth the lure will go. The faster you pull it the deeper it goes, to a point. I live in FL and I am an avid Snook fisherman. This lure in the 6" size has to be one of the best all around Snook baits of all time. It is also eaqually as good on Sea Trout and Reds. I can't tell you how many Grand Slams I've had with this lure. That being said, I'm sure it works as well in other parts of the country on different species.A:Â
The 15A, 16A, and 17A series are floating baits. When reeled, they will go subsurface. Trolled at about 2.5mph, the 15A & 16A will pull below the surface about 3', and the 17A will pull about 4' down. 15A is 5", 16A is 6", and 17A is 7". Hope this helps.1 of 1
