My friends thought the pink was an odd color and were skeptical of using something other than Rapala brand. This lure caught two large barracudas in 30 min while the other 4 lures in the water got nothing.

Best trolling lure I have ever used for grouper period. It goes deeper than the Manns and makes a lot more noise. It also one of the cheapest big baits out there. This is a real plus once you start breaking them off in the coral and rocks.
I wish they had a more durable paint job. After 10 groupers they have lost 50% of the finish. I will live with that because they produce!

Rated 5 out of 5 Fantastic for freshwater stripe
Caught several 27" stripes in quick order with this lure in fresh-water trolling - Logan Martin lake (Alabama). Fantastic action, runs full 20' deep.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by reelcheck Needs finish work
Granted, MOST of the fish we troll for have more than one tooth. I find that the finish on the new saltwater bombers comes off way beyond the actual bite marks. One day out, 2-3 kingfish, lure needs re-painting. Good news...they run very well out of the box and I wrote to bomber about the problem and they've offered to replace the ones in question.

I was looking at the hooks on these and they seemed kind of thin. I am heading to Venice for big wahoo and tuna and am thinking about replacing them with some Owner ST66 or 76 hooks. Has anyone had issues with the hooks?Answers
A:Â
The hooks hold up against 40lb barracuda. Not sure how comparable that is to wahoo and tuna.A:Â
ST 66 are absolutely fine hooks. Use them without hesitationImages for this Answer
