Bohning Bowfishing Kit
Good for the Money
Product did do what it was intended, just a few flaws. The string/line that came with it frayed and broke after just 5 shots. So I would recommend getting a tougher line. The bow that I had, the setup didnt fit just right. I had to buy a longer bolt from my local hardware store to get the extra length so it could spin freely without rubbing parts of my bow. You may have no problem with yours. Also, since this reel is plastic, so you cant tighten the bolts up very tightly without busting it. I had them tight, and shot, it came loose and the entire reel, bolts and nuts fell to my feet. I used lock-tite on the nuts, didnt happen again. For a begginer or someone on a budget looking to just have some fun this it the one you want. If your a little more serious about it, I would definately go with another product.

Great for beginners
As long as you follow the directions, you shouldn't have any issues. The only thing I have to comment on , is the ability to reel up the line once you have shot your arrow. In my case it's easier to wind the line up by hand instead of using the hand crank. P.S. keep all your nuts and bolts tight , use locktite.

I ordered the Bohnig Bowfishing Kit and was able to get to use it in just 5 days after I ordered it. I didn't expect to get it that quick.Well I had a chance to go after Alligator Gar and was able to land one on my very first shot. "Got Lucky" anyway it worked awesome, had no problems what so ever. Would recommend to any one.

Waste of Time, Money, and Effort
I have never been so disappointed in a product that I have bought from a sporting goods store. Ever. Bass Pro should stop carrying this product immediately. Between every shot you either have to completely disassemble the stupid thing because the line has gotten tangled inside of the two piece plastic reel, or you have to re-tighten the nuts trying to prevent the line from getting tangled. My friends reel virtually exploded after taking like 4 shots and he had to spend over a half hour just trying to find all the pieces so he could attempt to put it back together. I spent twice as much time fixing this piece of junk as I did actually shooting. While this kit looks like a good option to give bowfishing a try while on a budget, it's not. You're more likely to just get burned out and give up bowfishing altogether.
Buy something else... Anything else... Try something with an winding mechanism. Don't make the same mistake I did.
