I have been needing a good pair of polarized sunglasses. When I saw that these float and are very lightweight, I decided to give them a try. I usually wear whatever polarized shades I can find in the $10-20 range, but have been frustrated w/the quality lately. For $30 these are a fair value. The frames are a slightly grippy plastic that feels fairly flexible, not brittle. The hinges are reasonably beefy for a lightweight pair. The lenses are not Costa quality, but they are noticeably better than my $10 generic pair. And they do float. They may not stay at the surface, but they will not sink to the bottom either. The only downside to these for me is that the built-in nosepiece (which I like) is so shallow that the lenses are right against my eyelashes. This is a minor issue, but something I notice almost every time I put them on.
