Rated 5 out of 5Â by pdorman Gotta tryem !
I've crappie fished for over 25 years and have recently been using the 2" baby shad by Bobby Garland and love them. They cast great and have super action without a bulky profile. If you turn them on their side when rigging, it will actually slow the fall rate down and give a wounded fish darting action. I've caught Walleye, white bass and even catfish with them and they last a long time.. Givem a try and hang on!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by chewbaca Awesome crappie bait
You look at these baits and you feel like they won't produce because they won't have any action. That was my initial impression by just looking at them. Boy was I wrong. Tie this onto an ultra-light rod with light line and just dangle it in the water in front of you. The tail quivers non-stop. The ice-shad color is lethal here in Va waters. I use these and the Berkley fish fry as my go-to crappie lures.

it depends on water clearityA:Â
The color greatly depends on the water your fishing. Could have different results on different lakes or different days. Electric chicken is famous, and I've had great results on the darker colors with the more realistic black, red, silvers.Top 50 Contributor

A:Â
try to use a light jig head like a 1/16oz or even a 1/32oz cuz the lighter the bait the more time it will spend fluttering down to the botton which is when you will get the most bites. try around shallow structure like fallen trees jerking it by.Tight Lines
