I used Bobby Garland's baby shad in Southern Indiana and catch crappie in 106 and 108 degree weather. Best crappie bait I have used in years.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Sgtash Better than live bait
I first saw this bait when I went crappie fishing with a guide on Kentucky Lake. It was all he used, just switched colors to fit the conditions. We caught more fish than anyone on the lake. I've ordered a dozen colors and every time I go out the crappie kill them. I've had big bass on, and any pan fish that's big enough will swallow it. The key is finding the right color for that day. More durable and easier to carry than live bait!

I like the looks and action on this bait. Only used it one time didn't catch a fish but liked the presentation.

it depends on water clearityA:Â
The color greatly depends on the water your fishing. Could have different results on different lakes or different days. Electric chicken is famous, and I've had great results on the darker colors with the more realistic black, red, silvers.Top 50 Contributor

A:Â
try to use a light jig head like a 1/16oz or even a 1/32oz cuz the lighter the bait the more time it will spend fluttering down to the botton which is when you will get the most bites. try around shallow structure like fallen trees jerking it by.Tight Lines
