Rated 5 out of 5 by Kosta61 Best Crappie bait I used Bobby Garland's baby shad in Southern Indiana and catch crappie in 106 and 108 degree weather. Best crappie bait I have used in years. July 23, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sgtash Better than live bait I first saw this bait when I went crappie fishing with a guide on Kentucky Lake. It was all he used, just switched colors to fit the conditions. We caught more fish than anyone on the lake. I've ordered a dozen colors and every time I go out the crappie kill them. I've had big bass on, and any pan fish that's big enough will swallow it. The key is finding the right color for that day. More durable and easier to carry than live bait! June 21, 2012

A:Electric chicken, patriot, chartreuse silver sparkle and opening night (opaque pink/clear with silver sparkle) are the only ones I use. They work. Period. 1/8 oz or 1/16 oz jig heads.
A:Monkey Milk, Blue Ice, MoGlo Pink
A:i have had good luck on most all the collores at one time are the outher
A:The color greatly depends on the water your fishing. Could have different results on different lakes or different days. Electric chicken is famous, and I've had great results on the darker colors with the more realistic black, red, silvers.

A:rig it up with the hook exposed
A:I use a 1/16 oz jig head
A:you can rig this bait single or single with a split shot 18 inches above one bait or tandom (2) baits 18 inches apart. i use 1/16 jig heads i match jig head colors to the color of the bait.

A:try to use a light jig head like a 1/16oz or even a 1/32oz cuz the lighter the bait the more time it will spend fluttering down to the botton which is when you will get the most bites. try around shallow structure like fallen trees jerking it by.
A:no they dont come in kits. they come in packs of 18 but to make a kit just get some 1/32 or 1/16oz jigheads. with these things color of the head doesnt matter so you can get away with plain jane bass pro ones
