Rated 2 out of 5 by Dancergirl Frayed handle
I purchased this for my husband and within a few weeks the handle started fraying. I took it to see if it could be repaired, but couldn't. I returned to the store for a new one. The customer service was GREAT. I was given a new one with no problem. However, it was beginning to fray before I took it from the store. I asked for a third one, and after a month, it is fraying at the same point. I would love to give it a five, because my husband loves it and I bought other pieces to match. We will have to return the third one, but I won't try a fourth. Not happy about it.

I purchased the Rucksack for my husband for Christmas and he loved it. It looks really great and holds all of his work items and laptop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BizTraveler Great Design. Quality Questionable
I have had this bag around a year now and share the same experience as some of the other reviewers. The magnetic snap broke after a couple of months of use. The magnetic fasteners are really the only part of this bag I don't like. There needs to be something more secure like a snap or just make those buckles real!
That said I really like this bag. I use it primarily as a carry on airline bag and stuff it under the seat. The laptop section is convenient for the TSA screen and also doubles as great place to put magazines and an iPad. The main compartment is big enough to hold a light jacket, hat and gloves. The side pockets will hold a 16 oz bottle of water.
Since I bought this I've taken it to Israel twice, whitetail hunting in upstate New York, and flown over 100,000 miles on business trips. Fix the magnetic straps ant it is a perfect bag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Canac Front flap magnet mechanism lasted one week.
The magnet snap mechanism is cheaply designed. Both on the front pocket flap have broken off within a week of purchase.

Yes, the straps have a padded upper and a "canvas" lower. The two pieces connect by a "bib overall" type adjustable clasp. The lower connections have spring clasps to connect to a D-ring. The lower part of the straps can be disconnected so the complete strap can be stored in a zippered protective pouch. The padding is not overly bulky as some backpacks but seem to be sufficiently padded.
