Sorry, don't waste your time and money on this item. I finely ended up making my on bracket.

The boat buckle makes it much easier to secure the transom to the trailer. It is also easier to unsecure when ready to launch. The mounting bracket kit is needed for the boat buckle. When installed with the boat buckle, everything is so much easier.

The kit worked well. My only concern is that it wasn't included with the Boat Buckle in the first place.
