I bought these to use on my easyloader trailer, however the mounting holes will not work with these tiedowns and straps are too short for alternate mounting.. These are a good product just dont count on the stainless model fitting your saltwater rig Good for bass boats

I remember the "old" days when you had to hang the old straps to hold the boat down, so when I bought a new boat a few years ago and it included boat buckles, I was amazed at how easy it was to hook them up. A friend bought them for his boat based on my recommendation, and when I broke one of them due to my stupidity, I ordered a new set the next day. They're also easy to install. What more good can I say?

I recieved a set of boat buckles 2 weeks ago and they are great. No more worrying about remembering to get them out of the truck or if you put them on or not. Bolted to holes that were already in my trailer and I had them on in 10 minutes. Easy to use and well worth the money.

I BOUGHT THE KIT, BUT WHEN STRAPPING YOUR BOAT DOWN, THEIR SEEMS TO BE ALOT MORE PLAY IN THE BRACKETS THAN I WANTED. I JUST CUT OFF THE TABS ON MY TRAILER AND DRILLED HOLES FOR THE BUCKLES. WORKS MUCH BETTER AND LOOKS CLEANER.....
They come with a bolt, which is for attaching to the boat frame. My boat had a bracket that came out to attach the buckle to. If you have this set up, it will only take you a matter of minutes to install. If not, you will need some sort of 1/2 inch hole to bolt the buckel to.
I have both the stainless and regular ratchet set. The regular will not hold up in salt water applications. It rusted in a years time and had to replace with the stainless. I have had the stainless on my trailer for 2 years now and never had a problem.
