Great for bass boats. Little expensive but well worth it.

I was tired of getting my hands hurt when I released the old tie down straps I had on my boat. I bought the Stainless BoatBuckle Retractable Tie-Down System from Bass Pro Shop and dearly love these straps. From the very start of installing the straps that was easy and the loading/unloading the boat was so much easier and safer. Good design. Well worth the cost.

I BOUGHT THE KIT, BUT WHEN STRAPPING YOUR BOAT DOWN, THEIR SEEMS TO BE ALOT MORE PLAY IN THE BRACKETS THAN I WANTED. I JUST CUT OFF THE TABS ON MY TRAILER AND DRILLED HOLES FOR THE BUCKLES. WORKS MUCH BETTER AND LOOKS CLEANER.....
They come with a bolt, which is for attaching to the boat frame. My boat had a bracket that came out to attach the buckle to. If you have this set up, it will only take you a matter of minutes to install. If not, you will need some sort of 1/2 inch hole to bolt the buckel to.
I have both the stainless and regular ratchet set. The regular will not hold up in salt water applications. It rusted in a years time and had to replace with the stainless. I have had the stainless on my trailer for 2 years now and never had a problem.
