My trailer is registered in NY state and I do not know which side of the trailer the NY State DOT requires the license plate be displayed on hense I do not know which side to order the license plate illuminator lens on. In other words can you tell me which tail light according to my state's DOT law......which side of the trailer the plate should be displayed on and that will give me the answer as to which Tail light I should order the License Plate illuminator lens on. Thank you for the answer in advance. This brings me to a second question : I see that there is a submersible kit that consists of a wiring harness, a plate holder, and assorted connectors, and screws. The detail I am lacking in the wiring harness is: are there 5 wires or 4 wires in the harness and does that matter at all when it comes to wiring for these replacement tail lights?Answers
