The tight minnow action of the balsa wood body combined with the enticing flash of an in-line spinner makes this a deadly combination.
Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 57 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesome lures went to cherokee , n.c. and caught several large trout using blue fox vibrax minnow spin lures . the brown trout and gold colors fished slow and just off the main current was deadly. thanks for getting these lures shipped fast. February 8, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by A very effective lure. I was initially worried that the lure body would not ride upright or may spin on the retrieve but it does not. The great design and construction of this lure makes it ride true and presents a very lifelike baitfish profile. The detail and quality are outstanding and the blade spins freely, even at a slow retrieve speed. The first time I used this lure I was only fooling around trying to see what it did in the water casting next to shore and I caught two bass with the 1/8 ounce rainbow trout pattern. I actually intend to use that lure for trout, so I bought another in silver for bass fishing because if I can catch fish with it when I am not actually trying, who knows what it will catch when I am? Rated 5 out of 5 by Blue Fox Minnow Spin I never fish for bass without it. It is my go to lure when nothing else works. I used in in FL, PA, DE, and NJ and it catches fish everywhere. I like the minnow and firetiger colors depending on the clarity of the water and the time of year. It will almost always produce fish. I reel it steady and jerk it occasionally to give it lifelike action. I will also stop it abruptly and this at times will cause a strike. These lures are a must have. Unfortunately, they stopped making the larger size and only produce up to the 1/4 oz. I caught smallies on the bigger version that is no longer sold. Please bring them back! October 15, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by I will always have one of these Based on reviews I bought 2 of these lures on Friday. I took it out on Saturday and dropped it in the water to just to test how fast I wanted to retrieve it and a perch hit it while I was watching it. I then started actually using it and the Bass were hitting it hard. This lure works for me and I am a novice so I am sure it will work for anyone....go buy one and have some fun! August 30, 2010

The overall length excluding the hook is three inches (7.6cm) and the minnow body by itself is roughly 2 and 1/4 inches (5.7cm) long.

I was trout fishing with one of these in the 1/8oz rainbow trout color and caught two bass and also caught my only bass(and fish) of the day on one of these another time.
These seem to me to have better action than the Mepps and the minnow stays upright unlike the Mepps which tends to spin.

I'd say that the Mepps is better, the trailer is soft, so the bass might hold on longer. But I trust the rapala product more, and it works great.

Both are good, depending of the condition of the water. Comet minos for cristal clear waters and vibrax spinner for milky, cloudy or windy conditions.
