The tight minnow action of the balsa wood body combined with the enticing flash of an in-line spinner makes this a deadly combination.
Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 59 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by great this is a great lure. i havecaught many bass smallmouth and largemouth. i have even caught a few crappie and bluegill great lure January 4, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lost now Found Fisherman I hadn't fished for over 25 years, and my 13yr old daughter asked me to take her fishing, this was in 2005. My brother loaned us some of his equipment, along with (3) 1/8oz Vibrax Minnow Spins, in the Brown Trout coloration. Boy did we have fun using these spinner baits. In about four hours we caught, Largemouth, Smallmouth, Crappie, Bluegill, some Yellow Perch, a Walleye here and there, even a Rainbow trout. These are one of our stanby lures everytime we go out NOW. When things get boring, just slap one on your line and have fun. August 27, 2007
Rated 5 out of 5 by one of the hottest lures ever made These lures have been one of my favorites since the day I bought them. I've caught many differnt types of fish on them. Bass,Pike, and even crappie also some huge sunfish and bluegills!! You should have these in your tackle if you like to catch fish nonstop!! June 24, 2007
Rated 5 out of 5 by dynomite lure!!! I live in East TN and fish the Clinch River for big trout. On the first cast with the 1/4 oz silver/black I hooked a nice 20" rainbow, two casts later a nice 15" and then towards the end of the day a 24" brown that weighed in at 6.5 lbs. Wow, this was the first time I ever used this thing, I was impressed! Next outing I tried it for smallmouth, three casts, three smallies. I'm in love with this lure. Killer lure! March 7, 2007

A:
The overall length excluding the hook is three inches (7.6cm) and the minnow body by itself is roughly 2 and 1/4 inches (5.7cm) long.

I was trout fishing with one of these in the 1/8oz rainbow trout color and caught two bass and also caught my only bass(and fish) of the day on one of these another time.
These seem to me to have better action than the Mepps and the minnow stays upright unlike the Mepps which tends to spin.

I'd say that the Mepps is better, the trailer is soft, so the bass might hold on longer. But I trust the rapala product more, and it works great.

Both are good, depending of the condition of the water. Comet minos for cristal clear waters and vibrax spinner for milky, cloudy or windy conditions.
