The tight minnow action of the balsa wood Blue Fox® Vibrax® Minnow Spin® combined with the enticing flash of an in-line spinner makes this a deadly combination.

Blue Fox Vibrax Minnow Spin 4.7 5 59 59
Mandatory Absolutely required in your trout arsenal. Forget the Mepps, Rooster Tails, Daredevils, Little Cleo's and the Super Duper "Line Twisters". The rainbow trout imitation in size 0 will obtain your limit of 16"+ browns & 'bows on all rivers & streams. Hands down. February 19, 2011
Best inline spinnerbait. Excellent ! this lure caught smallmouth bass, peacock bass, snook and many more species. August 12, 2010
Consistent Bites Although I'm only 4 months into being a trout fisherman, I've run through a number of different lures and have found that time in and time out, these lures produce fish of all sizes. I've been fishing in the Chattahoochee River all spring and haven't been skunked yet using these. The gold spinners tend to produce more browns, although today, the 05 pulled in 14 rainbows in 2 hours - my best day yet. I've caught trout with numerous retreives, upstream and downstream with a slow retreive through deeper, slower moving pools. I now have 5 of these lures in 1/8 oz size - I'll always bring these with me - to date they're the best in my tackle box. April 30, 2006
Great Lure Living in Northern California, I was raised fishing lakes and streams. I have always been a fan of the Brown Trout pattern on a standard Rapala lure... That is, until I tied a Vibrax Minnow Spin on. Since I began utilizing the Blue Fox, I have caught more big fish then ever. I have recently caught a 3lb 2oz Brown out of a small creek, a 3.5lb Rainbow out of a pond, a 5lb Brown out of a reservoir, and a 6lb Rainbow from the same reservoir. Besides the trout, I have also had amazing results catching Small Mouth. Living by a creek, and a reservoir means I fish often. Now that I use the Blue Fox, I CATCH fish often. To date, I've only ever used the 1/8oz, and it does not disappoint on the lake or the stream. A must have. October 24, 2006

The overall length excluding the hook is three inches (7.6cm) and the minnow body by itself is roughly 2 and 1/4 inches (5.7cm) long.

A:
I was trout fishing with one of these in the 1/8oz rainbow trout color and caught two bass and also caught my only bass(and fish) of the day on one of these another time.
These seem to me to have better action than the Mepps and the minnow stays upright unlike the Mepps which tends to spin.

A:
I'd say that the Mepps is better, the trailer is soft, so the bass might hold on longer. But I trust the rapala product more, and it works great.

Both are good, depending of the condition of the water. Comet minos for cristal clear waters and vibrax spinner for milky, cloudy or windy conditions.
