Can't Explain It, But It Seems To Work This seemed like a racket to me, to be quite honest. Some kind of magic oil that made you cast farther and cut down on tangles/knots. I went for years and wouldn't buy any of it. But one day, a couple years ago, I broke down and decided to try it. Lo and behold, the stuff really seems to work. I can throw lures farther, and I don't seem to tangle up nearly as often. I've also used KVD's line conditioner, and it works too, but this is usually $2 cheaper than KVD, plus there's an ounce more in this bottle than in KVD's. So this skeptic has become a believer. I spray it on everything (GENEROUSLY) the night before I go fishing, and that's all I do. I don't even spray it on throughout the day like some people. Just spray everything down the night before, and I can tell a difference on the water. Good product. May 7, 2010
Superior Product This is the best line and rod treatment I have ever used. Adds distance to the cast, eliminates "line loop", and lubricates exterior surfaces of the reel. Spray the reel spool, guides, and line for increased performance and ease of operation. Only one application is needed for an entire day of fishing. May 13, 2010
Works magic!!!!! This is the best lubricant i have ever used.I took it on a fishing trip it saved my trip i was worming the whole trip i was getting line twist on my spinning reels. I sprayed the line magic on the line and it worked its magic it saved my trip and all of my buddies!!! June 5, 2008
The Luck Would Have IT- The Best Catch Yet I Tried It Out, And I'm Glad I Did. My friend Didn't Know What I Had Done To My Reels. It Mades Those Great Cast Look Easy. I'm talking 40 to 50 yd Cast With 1 oz lures. It really Made My Day. And Suprised me With Just a spray or two. If You Are having problems With Hard Cast or just want to get more distance. Try It. and I Know It Will Make Your day. July 17, 2007

For casting it is great. Not for trolling, your line is being pulled.

I use it on BOTH my line (as a line-tamer) and on the gears on my baitcasters. It doesn't substitute for a thorough cleaning and re-greasing; however, while you're "out in the field" so to speak, it lubricates the gears just fine!

Both, it makes cleaning a reel much easier if you spray it on the reel before you go fishing. And as far as line goes, I spray the line on all of my reels because it retards line memory "makes it limper" and if you do get a backlash, it seems easier to pick out. I keep a bottle/can on hand all the time. My advice is to buy a can/bottle and see for yourself, You'll be glad you did.

It seems to work great on mine. I love flouro and sometimes it wants to retain a memory on one of my spinning reels, but some of this seems to improve the situation.

You can wipe your boat down with this after you pull it out of the water just spray a little on the rag, the bottle even says you can use it on the boat. It doesnt hurt the finish or gel coat. I spayed some in one spot it has been there for one week now in the sun and 100 degree weather and has done nothing to the boat, finish,or gel coat.

Hey, unless you expect a reel magic scientist to answer your question, you're not gonna know the exact main ingrediants of reel magic. What i can tell you though, is that it doesnt stain, spot, fade, or deteriorate anything on my boat, and/or tackle. I use this stuff on everything. I use it to lubricate my line and reels, as well as rod guides. You can use it for cleaning your boat, electronics screens ON your boat, and a handfull of other things. All this basically is is a oderless, residue free, and colorless lubricant or oil. Very well worth the money.
