I have been saying in my head that I wish someone would make a 1.5" cut, rear deploying, chisel point, solid steel, mechanical head with no O-rings. Well...here it is. I have not had a chance to shoot anything with these yet, but I'm very confident they will be great. The head spins true and flies like a champ. The blades seem strong and are quite sharp. The smaller cutting diameter should be perfect for those with lower energy in their setup, or for those not wanting to sacrifice penetration by using a huge cut expandable. I've used the replaceable blade Blackout fixed blade heads for years and love them,. This appears to be another winner from the Blackout line.

I have been shooting the original gator broad head for years and they were amazing. My only complaint with them is that the blades were pretty easy to break. When the Ulmer edge broad head came out I thought it was perfect, then I saw that it had O rings and I instantly new it was garbage. You can't spend thousands on a archery set up and rely on a 1 cent rubber band to keep your hunt from being destroyed.
I saw this broad head and had to give it a try. As soon as they showed up I was impressed, they are compact and the blades are razor sharp. Before even testing the broad head I took it out and fired it into a piece of ply wood to test the blades. The broad head opened and left a 1.4 inch cut right through the wood and both blades were perfect. This head fly's like a dream and penetrated 2-3 inches farther than the original gator. I even deployed the blades and tried to snap them like I could with the old gator or a swhacker and this blade not only did not snap, after I bent it I was able to bend it back.
I always can pick out something on a broad head that needs improvement, on this broad head I have nothing at all I could change or improve. I bought a dozen while they are on sale and I just ordered another dozen.
