Used on my Mercury 115 with broken skeg. Looks good and improved steering. No change in top speed. Prep properly and it will stay on.

by SCHEU GREAT INVESTMENT
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR ANYONE WHO FISHES BASS TOURNAMENTS, BUT IT IS ALSO GOOD FOR RECREATIONAL BOAT USE. WHEN YOU ARE ON A DIFFERENT LAKE OR RIVER EVERY WEEKEND, IT'S GOOD TO HAVE EXTRA PROTECTION FOR YOUR OUTBOARD. IT IS A LITTLE BIT LONGER THAN THE SKEG ON YOUR OUTBOARD, SO IT SHIELDS YOUR PROP BETTER. THIS PRODUCT IS TOUGH AND DURABLE. IT ALSO KEEPS YOUR SKEG LOOKING NICE, INSTEAD OF SCRATCHED AND CHIPPED. I WON'T DRIVE MY BOAT WITHOUT IT.

The reason for this purchase was due to a shallow rock bed. Our boat is only a couple of years old and we would like to maintain it as best as possible. This item was easy to install and the appearance has been restored to as good as new or better.

The first time you touch anything under water it WILL come off and leave a mess of sealant on your skeg that is almost impossible to get off. If you get the bright idea of drilling and installing SS screws and hit something, the Black Fin will rip in half, not as durable as they say it is. It took 5 mph off the top end of my 90hp Mercury. I have made the mistake of trying 2 of these hoping it would work, wasted my time and money.
