''BlackOut arrows offer the three things hunters care about most: consistency, durability, and value. They stick where you point them, they last through the abuse a hard core hunter can dish out, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg. And that’s all I ask for in a hunting arrow.''
Jerry Martin, RedHead® Pro Hunting Team

BlackOut X5 Envy Carbon Arrows - 4'' Vanes 4.5 5 6 6
Great Choice I originally purchased these as practice shafts with a far more expensive brand to be used for hunting. In no time I discovered that these fly / shoot every bit as good as the expensive ones with field points and actually are more accurate with the Rage broadheads. I practice out to 60 yards and they fly perfectly. In all fairness I have to say the expensive shafts have the 2 inch vanes as opposed to 4 inch with these. Never the less these have impressed me to the point that they are now all I buy. I would not hesitate to recommend these to any serious hunter. My only gripe is that I can't specify the vane colors. Problems... Having a problem with the broadhead getting stuck inside my target.. But besides that great arrow! August 24, 2014
Straight as an Arrow I am not the greatest archer in the world, and maybe not even moderate by some standards. BUT, with these shafts I hit the bag EVERY single time. Bought my first set about 8 months ago and will use them for hunting for the first time this deer season. I will buy them again and again. The Blackout X5 takes any abuse I put them through and continues to fly straight and true. I am a lifetime customer. I have even hit the bag from 120 yards away with these babies. July 25, 2014
Great Reliable Arrow Arrows fly true and consistent and for the price you can't beat em. October 21, 2013

A:
In general, a loose fit is good, and a tight fit is bad. A tight fit can result in more noise and possible left-right errors from hand torque.

For Trophy Ridge: Biscuit Size
Small (0.300" inner) fits Trophy Ridge, Acc, Outsert Carbon, Axis 17xx or smaller Aluminum
Medium (0.320" inner) fits Internal Component Carbon, 19xx or smaller Aluminum
Large (0.385" inner) fits 23xx or smaller Aluminum

I know the inside diameter for the SKU: 1912324 is .246". Therefore, I would say the .300" inner small size would work well with the BlackOut X5 Envy Carbon Arrows. Thanks

A:
340/400 is the stiffness of the shaft. The way I decide is by what I will be using them for; target, varmint or big game. If I am just shooting for target I will use the 340, but for big game I use the 400, less flex more energy.

400 size would be for draw weight of 50-60#, 340 would be for draw weight of 70-80#.

I use the 9/32. It's a bit smaller than the shaft but it makes for a easier pull out from the target
