i bought this holster for a revolver i just purchased. holster is nice fitting with pistol. improved with a flap over so the sights don't hang up when drawn, the only problem i have is the strap is too tight, tried working it to loosen but didn't help. this is a leave at home pistol for my wife. if she can't get it out of holster in a time of need the results could be very devastating, also strap is different than pictured.

The holster does what it is intended to do which is hold the revolver in place.
It worked good for practice at the range.

Item number 38-889-783-00 is listed to fit a S&W M&P 9mm/.40 cal and Sigma 9mm/.40 Cal - Right. Otherwise, sw40ve is not listed. Thanks1 of 1
