I wouldn't use anything larger than 1/4 oz. unless you're fishing current. The 1/4 oz. allow the jig to sink slow and when jigged back, the light weight really allows your tube to dance and dart.

Well you have to let the fish answer that question. Sometimes they like a slow fall sometimes they like a fast fall , but an all-around good one is 3/16 of an ounce

I've found some hooks are not long enough to properly rig 4 inch tubes with. Does anyone have experience rigging them?

Dont buy Bite Me tube head modles. Buy the Bass Pro Shops Pro model. The hook shank is linger and they will fork with 4 in tubes. Buy teh 1/4 oz size.

All I had to do is make a little cut at the base of the tube so the tube would sit straight. Then you can either use a lighter or fishing glue to repair the tube if you so desire.
