The longest-lasting finish, but slower to darken than the liquid blues. Easy-to-use PERMA BLUE Paste Gun Blue reacts slowly with the metal but builds up a denser finish that will outlast the liquid blues. Excellent for touch-up or complete reblueing. Metal must be clean and free of rust and sealed with Sheath® Rust Preventive to enhance and protect the finish. A dark blue color may require three or more applications of PERMA BLUE Paste, but each coat takes only 30 to 60 seconds to work. Apply with cotton swab. Complete instructions on each tube.

I have never written a review on anything I have ever purchased before but I was so impressed with this product, I just had to say something about it. I was in need of re-bluing my Winchester 94 and thought I’d give Perma Blue a shot. I wanted a very nice blue job done but being that I only paid $9 on the stuff, I was afraid of what the results would turn out to be. So, I decided to try it on an old air rifle I have first; the results were outstanding! I was very pleased! There was a nice, dark, even coat finish over the whole gun. I couldn’t wait to blue my 94 and the outcome remained the same.
