We ordered the deck hinge based on reviews for the Atwood bimini cover complaints about the cheapness of the plastic hinges supplied with the frame assembly.
Plus, the use of polished chrome verse plastic on the gunnels, makes it look like they came with the boat verse some after market plastic mount.
If your boat don't allow for your bimini to store nicely from the operation point of use, two sets of these hinges are nice, allowing for easy positioning between storage to operational locations.
Easy enough to use with a simple push of the pin through the holes of the hinge and frame eye.
Even though, the frame and the hinge are made by the same manufacturer, it was difficult to install and align the frame-eye and the hinge. The gap is too narrow for the plastic frame-eye to fit without using a hammer on the plastic frame-eye to line up the holes.
Another potential problem, would be the small size of the spring loaded pin, which might be easily misplaced or lose. Suggest getting spare pin or two to keep in a safe place on your boat.
