Bill Lewis Original Saltwater Rat-L-Trap Hardbait
Fresh or Salt
Suspending bass on points ledges or just next to a tree when they want high noise and fast action swim this is the bait. Ive recently started kayak fishing in the gulf and found that these are great for trolling for king mackerel. 5/8 oz is best for me in the gulf. Its like any other good lure, when they want it they kill it when they dont try a smaller one or different color. Buy a few they work.

I bought one out of curiousity a couple days back and went fishing. I threw everything in my box at them including rapalas and mirrolures and they wouldnt bite till i tied on the rat l trap saltwater. Third cast and i hit a snook. I reeled for 4-5 seconds before letting the lure dive down and BAM, fish on. I will definetly be buying some more in the future.

Nice and Loud
Great lure in my opinion. I have the Chrome Blue Back color and decided to try it today. This lure caught my first bass of the year. The sound and vibration that comes off this lure is surprising for the size and look of it. I like that it sinks since I can find the bottom easier and run through rock piles and grass beds. The swimming action is consistently perfect, i haven't had a problem with it yet. The construction is good the lure is pretty durable. I did chip a little piece off the nose on a rock but it still holds up as if nothing happened. I think I will keep using this lure and maybe add some more to my collection.

Here's proof positive that fish are taught at an early
age (IN SCHOOLS) that the rat-l-trap is one of the
tastiest baits around!! This has been my "go to" lure
for years. Chrome w/blue back is my favorite
Get yourself some!
