Rod broke on my first outing. Action felt great, reel is nice, but the durability is not good. It broke right at the joint between the 2 pieces.

I feel ripped off the reel could have been sold by itself. The design is inappropriate for fishing. There is no stability to keep the reel on the rod and nothing to stop it from turning from misaligning itself to eyelets while on the rod. While using it there were 2-3 times I had to stop reeling to afix reel to pole. Just a real poor idea and design to afix reel to rod with slides rather than the other classic set up with a screw mechanism to afix reel to rod.
I like the reel and rod but the design to afix reel to rod is a total train wreck.
I would be quick to take it back for a refund but feel its my fault for not really looking at what I had bought before using it. Now I see why it had the bundle strip to hold the reel to rod.

As I pulled the rod and reel from the box, half of the reel fell to the floor.
