Rated 5 out of 5 by bigegan18 Great Catfish Hooks These hooks are great for catfishing. They hold dough baits very well and catch fish. The only thing that might be a disadvantage is it's a little difficult to get dough baits off this hook when you're done fishing. January 1, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by SaltyBass Perfect for stringing meat too! These hooks work perfect! I bought a couple a while back for bread dough, initially. I needed trebles for channel cat fishing so instead of buying new hooks, I used these. I put three on a rig and wrapped, using the tendon of the liver,a whole chicken liver around each. I also used a 2 ounce egg which let me fling out in the center of the lake. The meat stayed on and so did the fish! I use them all the time now, occasionally catching turtles and they are also durable, being that I have bent them a thousands times to get a turtle off. Never straightened out though. Great buy, Great product! November 28, 2009

Details:I would like use this Spring Treble Hooks to fish a carp. Bat I need know realy size in mm. Help please.
A:I would not recommend this for carp fishing. Carp do not respond well to larger hooks. I would recommend using a #6 or #8 single hook that sharp and strong.
Carps mouth the bait and the hooks before you can feel them on the line usually and drop the bait if they detect the hook. This hook is large for carp and it would be quickly detected.
Details:i want a hook that i could use with different types of bait
A:I would not use this for chicken liver. I would stick with a regular treble hook. you could I suppose squish in the chicken liver if you do not mind getting messy.
If you had a very think dip bait this hook may work. Be careful on the cast to so as not to throw of the bait. I am not sure how well dip bait would hold on the sprint once wet.
A:works well with chicken liver, its holds dough bait better than a dip bait
