- Hand-tied knots
- Patented gathering ring
- Heavy-duty nickel crane swivel
- Mono brail line
Unlike some modern nets, Big Mouth mono cast nets are still made the traditional way in a labor-intensive process. Panels are patched by hand-tied knots on each mesh. Meshes open up completely—not just threaded thru. Meshes open into square shapes, thanks to a special treatment done to the netting. This ensures nets that open completely. Big Mouth Mono Cast Nets also incorporate a patented gathering ring made from reinforced polyethylene that seals the ring permanently into the net, eliminating loose rings. Other features include mono brail line, a heavy-duty nickel crane swivel, and extra-long braided heavy-duty polypropylene hand rope. Includes casting and maintenance instruction sheet.
