I liked this combo so much, I now have 2. A climbing treestand is not practical here in Montana, not enough tall pine trees like I had in Florida! Using strap on ladder steps is a breeze, can't believe it took me so long to get some.

I have two of these stands. They are quite possibly the best stand I've ever owned, I've hunted out of climbers, and ladders most of the time. Until I found a spot where I couldnt get either of those into. I did my research, read reviews, and I decided to go with the Boss Lite. Large, sturdy platform, and comfortable seat. What more can be said.

OK, I'm not sure what I think about the other reviews. I own three other brands of cling on stands, and there are some things I find constant with all of them. I always ad a heavy duty ratchet strap to the existing factory straps. They all come with a cheap safety harness, if you want a good harness the purchase one of the hunters safety deals. The steps are easy to hang and once you put some weight on them they stay in place. It is important to have the straps on correct or they will not tighten very well; this is the same for all steps. You could replace the straps with a ratchet strap and never worry about it. The stand is light weight and easy to carry with the backpack straps. You can carry the stand, steps, and gun but that is it. You probably could carry a light pack if you tied it to the stand. I purchased this stand to put up and down. I like the cling on's better than a climber, that's just me. This is a basic cling on so it does not have a fancy chair. I have two more cling on's with nicer seats, but they are much heavier. The stand is adequate I am 6'2 and weigh 240lbs and have no problem standing or sitting on the platform. My stand was not noisey, but if you do not take time to properly set the stand to the tree I could see where it would make some slipping noises, but all cling on's do that. The first time out I used the existing straps without any issues. The stand is good, but it's just a basic cling on stand. If you want something more comfortable then spend more money! I like this package and would purchase again! If I had purchased this set first I would not have purchased the three other sets of climbing sticks. The positive thing with these steps is being able to take them with you and leave the stand in the tree. The three steps will get you high enough to hunt, my guess is around 15 feet is my current height.. I may sell my 3 sets of climbing sticks and purchase a fourth step and one more cling on. Purchasing these steps first would have saved me $150.00! Overall nice package deal and I would buy again. Setup is very portable, and once you set it up it is easier to do it over and over.
