The stand was easy to assemble, with good directions and few tools needed. I was able to place the stand alone without much effort. The ladder feels sturdy, for I am 6'4" and 250 pounds and I plan to hunt with my son beside me. The seat folds out of the way, leaving a generous amount of room to stand and place a backpack If needed. There are no squeaks or metal sounds while entering the stand or while the wind blows the tree around. I find the seat to be very comfortable and find it easy to stay still for long periods of time without being in pain. I think this stand will provide years of service for me and my son.

you have to get this one, it is better and a better deal than any other at bass pro. Very strudy, very secure

It depends on your trunk size. It fit in my suburban but I had to put it in at a forty five angle. it would not lay down.I did but one in the trunk of my wife's car (Camry) , but I had to take it out the box to make it fit. I did put two in the back seat on their sides.

Dear TCarter811,I had the bottom section of one of my ladder stands stolen, along with the support bar. I took a remaining section of the ladder to a welding shop and a support bar from another stand and they made a new one. The one they made was better than the original. It cost me $50.00 total for parts and labour. Then $10 for paint. When I called the manufacturer it ws going to cost me over $100. Hope this helped.

Seat is very short and uncomfortable. Doesn't extend out under your legs at all. I'd recommend a different stand. I don't like this one.
