very comfortable safety harness. This should save my neck as well as products that cost 3 ties as much... I like the value in this one...

I bought this for the price and it really does the job. I hunt in the south and the fewer layers the better. The only draw back was the noise of the leg strap metal pieces that enable you to adjust the harness to fit. When I adjusted them the metal would make noise when I walked in. A simple fix was to put black socks over them - 10 minutes of work and I was ready to go.
The tree strap was longer than I needed so I trimmed it a little.

The harness does its job, however I purchased it for safety and weight. The specs say 2lbs as does the package itself, however when weighed it is basically 4lbs. Also the tree strap is a couple feet too long. If a tree was that large, I wouldn't be able to get my arms around enough to put the strap around the tree any way. A little shorter would be better on the tree strap and the harness tether is a little too short preventing a bow or long gun shot behind the stand. Other than that it is fine for the price.

It has a line attached to the bottom of of the harness that extends down with a stirrup on it so you can stand up and hopefully get back into your stand. I haven't tried it and hope not to. LOLA:Â
You will need to purchase a descent system to go with the harness. I bought a Spider Wire for mine and other than being slightly complicated to attach to the tree in the dark (you have to hold the unit in place with your head while attaching the tree strap), it adds an extra degree of security. The one time I had a stand to fail while wearing a harness, I was able to pull the ladder stand back to me with my feet and climbed down. Otherwise, you just swing in the breeze until help comes. My son has epilepsy and thus, the descent system and a cell phone are essential safety precautions. We always hunt in the same general area, expediting rescue if necessary. As with boating, I strongly recommend that you inform somewhere where you are hunting and when you anticipate being able to call and report that you are safe.

It comes with a linemans strap.A:Â
It does not come with a lineman's belt, but the tree strap and extension strap supplied could be configured as such. The down side of doing so is that there is no hook/snap on the strap to make attachment to the harness easy. The harness is incredibly easy to use, I put mine on in the dark with no complications.A:Â
No, I think it's self explanatory. Not difficult to use at all. BUT. The instructional book and dvd are a bit confusing. It has two extra straps with it. I can't say i know what a lineman's strap is.Answers

Is there size variations for this harness?I weigh around 250 and am having trouble finding a harness that fits. My waist is 40 inches and I am 6' 2" tall.

I think you'd fit in it fine. I'm 6'2" with a 35 in waist and had plenty of strap left over. Even with a layer under it you sould be ok.A:Â
I am a size 40 waist, and it adjusted fine for me. I am not as tall as you, but there seems to be more room to adjust the leg openings to allow for a taller person than me (5-10).A:Â
I'm 6', 245 and it fit me well.A:Â
I weigh 240 and my son weighs 260 and we both have one of these harneses. I am 6'2" as well. This harness is large enough to fit comfortably over clothing and is easily adjustable.A:Â
im 6 feet tall and it has alot of movement i would get it for the price you cant go wrongA:Â
Per the Manufacturer, this item is one size fits most. There is a 300 pound weight capacity for this harness.A:Â
