When I first opened it I noticed that it felt like it was thrown together. The latch that opens the door to see the screen is very hard to close. The batteries will not stay in their grove and pop out if you do not hold them in ( which is really hard with ten batteries). The battery door must be shut extremely fast and is near impossible to do. When I finally got the door shut the camera would not turn on. I took the batteries out and waited one minute as instructed by the instructions. It still would not come on after I repeated this process many times. I tried putting the SD card in to see if it was the problem, but it still would not turn on. I pressed the card in so it would pop out but it took a pair of pliers to get the card out. If the camera is as cheaply made as it's components it probably would not even take a picture. I will be returning it soon.

I purchased 2 of these cameras using the 6 pay program. Delivery was pretty fast. Upon receiving the order, I immediately put 1 out to test. Fist thing I noticed is that the light from flood lights (although not pointed toward camera) cancelled invisi-flash. Turned off floods and retried. Better results. Next I placed in woods beside house. In 2 days, I captured approximately 35 photos of deer, squirrels, and rabbits. Got both day and night photos. Neither were too bad. Then came big problems. In less than 1 weeks time, first rain. After that, I've received approximately 50-60 photos, all totally black. Needless to say, they are going back. Bass pro said no problem in returning. I'll pick 2 different kinds and try again. After I purchased these online, I started looking at reviews. All were negative. A couple major concerns are it's almost impossible to remove SD card without needle nosed primers. You can not format SD card without hooking up to computer. After first rain, would not take anything other than complete black photos. Can not view photos in woods. And last but not least, the red laser does not turn off by itself after 90 seconds as stated in manual. One other thing to mention is that after only 1 night in woods, 8 GB SD card showed full, none of which we're viewable.

I figured I would try this Mantis camera because it was somthing different and I like to mount my cameras about 6-8 feet off the ground. I really like being able to adjust the cameras moveable head with the laser aim. No more wedging sticks behind the camera when I have to use a crooked tree, about time. The camera takes good pictures and trigger speed is good.
