I put one of these blocks out and set a game camera to watch it. I had never had feed of any kind at this location. I came back to check the camera the very next day. The camera is super old and the lcd display no longer works so I could not set the day and time, but it was late August 2012. I had photos of the four largest bucks on the property, four smaller bucks, and numerous does. The block was completely consumed in three days, but all of those deer kept coming back for two weeks just to eat the soil where the block had been. I waited another couple weeks and bought some Big and J in a bag. I threw two handfuls of it on the ground in the edge of a field one hill over. Again, no food or attractant had ever been placed there and again, the very next day, I had photos of all those deer plus four more bucks. Right now the acorns are dropping, so let's be real....how does anything compete with that? Those acorns won't last long....

Bought two of these and sat them next to a corn pile in two different locations. The deer never touched them. I had pics of them eating the corn but they never touched these. They ended up molding. I was told by a BassPro employee that some people are using these because they last longer than the bag form, and now I see why they last so long.
