First off I want to say that I haven't had this product out on my property but 9 days, thought I'd mention that right from the start so as to be honest and objective. This property is a small parcel of land that contains a natural funnel of timber and a year-round water source for deer. I currently have timer feeders and free choice protein feeders out on this property as well. Based on what I've seen over a 9 day period, there is plenty of deer activity around the feeding stations and in areas where naturally regenerating browse (native grasses...etc) have emerged, but deer have totally ignored the areas where BB2 was put out...almost as if they are purposely avoiding it. I won't pass judgement on the product yet, but unless I see a change in deer behavior over the next few weeks, I won't buy it again, nor would I recommend it to others. It's far too expensive to waste money on when there are so many other options (such as food plots and fertilization of native plants) that offer a guy more bang for his buck. If I see a change in the results, I'll update this review for everyone and retract my negative response.

I purchased this product as an attractant. We used the product at three different locations where we were feeding corn as well as a protein supplement. In every case we noticed the deer feeding all around the pile of BB2 and never touching it. They would smell of it, move on and continue feeding. We observed the same results over the course of our 5 day hunt. Don't waste your time or money on this product.

I bought two bags of this stuff at Bass Pro last night. I also bought a 100 lb capacity, hanging spreader type feeder. I have not used either yet, so for now my review is based on a phone call I made to the people at Big & J. I called to ask if they recommended mixing corn with their product to put in the type of feeder I bought. From what I have heard, powder or ground up types of feed are not recommended to be placed in feeders due to their tendency to clog the spreader. However, the guy at Big & J told me their product does not clump and is also "moisture resistant". Although I have not even field tested this yet, I thought I should include this in the reviews since the product description makes no mention of this. It does say "use by mixing with food in a feeder", but it doesn't specify which type of feeder. There are feeders out now that are made specifically for feeds such as rice bran. Anyway, to be continued once field tested.

I wouldn't suggest trying to use it in a spin type feeder. The product is pretty fine in texture...almost like ground / poundered corn.

BB2 XX is designed to be mixed with corn and used in a feeder. XX has proven to be effective when mixing with up to 10 times the amount used (20 lbs XX to 200lbs of Supplement X) without diminishing its attraction capabilities. ThanksAnswers

I am considering trying out this product but my question is, I hunt in a field due to my surroundings it provides many other animals to hunt beside deer. would this product work if since there are deer in the area already? if so how can i attract them or would this product be effective enough or are there any other ways or products i can use to lure them in?Answers
