Betts Bluegill Popper Assortment - 6 Pack
I just began fly fishing last weekend and I caught 26 bluegill and a 6 inch largemouth bass. This is a great kit for beginners.

I just love this little bait!!! When the crappie and bluegills are sucking bugs on the surface thats when I reach for these little poppers. Just the other day on Manasquan resevior in New Jersey I caught a fish on allmost every cast. But before I tie the popper on I like to pull the long rubber legs off of it. That gives the popper a smaller profile that seems to work better for me.Then about 4 feet above the popper I put a weighted bobber so it will cast far. This system works great so try it out you won't be disapointed.Tim

Too big for bluegills
I enjoy the brainlessness of fly fishing for bluegills so I purchased 3 of these bluegill fly assortment packages. They are well made and the panfish would hit them, but 70% of the assortment was better suited for small bass than bluegills and they were too big. The fish do not get hooked on them. I was disappointed so many were large. The two small ones worked terrific. Seems they just made poppers and threw them all together.
