used alot of these while trout fishing and had a blast. some of these are fish magnets and some didnt even get a bite. i think its a great starter kit and well worth the money.

I am new to fly fishing and want to catch largemouth bass and bluegill in ponds. What are some good flies and good colors? Since I am new, can you tell me also with the flies you list how to work or retrieve the flie?

i HAVE LIVED MY WHOLE LIFE IN THE ATLANTA AREA AND IT IS HARD TO BEAT A FROG COLOR FOR BASS. LOOK FOR FLIES WITH GREEN, BLACK, ORANGE, RED,YELLOW AND BROWN OR ANY COMBO OF THESE. CAST TO A SPOT AND LET THE RIPPLES FADE AWAY(16 SECS). THEN GIVE A QUICK SHORT STRIP ON THE LINE. LET IT SIT THEN TWO STRIPS. IN BETWEEN SEQUENCES WAIT 3-4 SECS. VARY YOUR STRIPS BTWEEN 1AND 3 STRIPS KEEPING ROD TIP LOW. WHEN YOU GET A STRIKE BE PATIENT YOU HAVE TO WAIT TO FEEL THE FISH. PATIENCE JUST LIKE FISHING FOR SOME SALT WATER SPECIES. FOR SOME MORE FUN TRY A JOINTED RAPALA USING SAME TECHNIQUES WITH A SPINNING REEL.FARM POND BASS CANT STAND IT.
