Berkley Vanish Transition Fluorocarbon Line
Best Spinning Reel Flouro Ever!
DO NOT GIVE UP ON THIS PRODUCT IF YOU'VE HAD ONE BAD EXPERIENCE!! I have been using the 8# test since it came out for my spinning reels. I have caught 5 pound bass and 8# walleye with it! I use the clear/gold so I can see the line more visibly than any other flouro line. I always fill half of my spool after putting a cheap backer on it to save line- I can re-spool 3 times with 200 yards. I also walk the line off the spool in my yard. I go back, engage bail, then hold line loose in one hand and tight in the other to get all the twist out. Once I reach the end, I stretch the line against the drag of the reel. This MUST be done periodically due to the nature of a spinning reel! I fish A LOT and this line lasts longer than any other between re-spooling. I always use Reel Magic spray every morning before a day of fishing. DON'T use a palomar knot!

I normally don't use fluorocarbon lines. Where I live the water is generally off colored enough to use braid. Recently I fished in a tournament at Table Rock lake where the water is very clear. I used Vanish transition on several of my rods. 8#, 10#, and 14# lines. I thought it performed well and was very abrasion resistant. Fishing in rocks for a solid week and never broke off a single fish. No complaints here, it performed as advertised.

Purchased at fishing expo. Recommended by the Berkley rep. Got home and tried to spool on a Jonny Morris spinning reel, bird nests were the norm. re-spooled thinking I spooled wrong, birds nest were the norm. Walked off line , tying line to mail box wrong again bird nests. Asked guy across the street what he thought. He had no answers. Both he and I thought the line felt kinked all the way through the spool. Trashed what was left and will not buy again. So much for the Berkley rep.
