  • Super strength and durability
  • Abrasion resistant
  • Excels in heavy cover
  • Low memory
If you're fishing around rocky ledges, heavy weeds, docks, and rough brush piles, you need the super strength and durability of abrasion-resistant Berkley Trilene XT monofilament fishing line. Trilene XT Extra Tough Line is an excellent high performance, low memory line that excels in heavy cover. Trilene XT casts very well and is affordably priced. This monofilament line will allow you to get away with some incredibly dicey casts. Made in USA.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent Line in a Pinch This is a decent line in a pinch, here's why: THE GOOD: The line is strong and abrasion resistant. I have had no real issues when tying on fluorocarbon leaders with back-to-back uni-knots, or knot strength in general. THE BAD: The line has a thick diameter, probably due to whatever makes it abrasion resistant. This makes it rigid - and whether you spool this loose or tight, the right way or the wrong way, at some point you are going to have line jump the spool. When I use anything over 12 lb. test, this problem increases exponentially. The rigidity also impedes lure action. THE VERDICT: If you are doing any sort or long distance casting, or looking for mono to put into a baitcast reel - go with Trilene XL, NOT XT! You could do much worse, but for me I now spool up with the appropriate weight line in XL no matter what. Heavy cover or not - I haven't looked back once. July 25, 2013
