Rated 5 out of 5 by great ive used a few other brands and was never impressed, trilene smooth casting gives me everything i need in a line and my wants,, cost is low so i can change it regularly without breaking my wallet, its a tough line and never have issues with twists or breaks,, ive brough in numerous double digit carp in on this stuff 2,4, and 6 lb is all i use, i use braid for anything that requires heavier, for the addicted fisherman like myself i love this line February 28, 2013

No, Dont use this line for shark fishing. You need braided line to stand up to their teeth.

This line will work for freshwater use. Be sure to use a test weight that is applicable to the size of fish that you are seeking (i.e. 4 pound test for crappie and bluegill and 8-12 pound test for bass).

The best! Use the 6 or 8 pound test for smoother casting. Pending on where you are, you won't have to worry bout line breaking
