Great for wading I've been using this tackle box for about 15 years now and it's really all I need for wade fishing. My ONLY complaint is that it is too short for the Super Spook type lures. Because I only fish for snook and redfish on the flats, I use a lot of top water plugs. And the ones I use are the larger ones. Big lure=Big fish. So for the last 10 years, Ive been drilling a 3/4" hole at the top ends so that the lures will fit when I close the box. Ya, they stick out a bit but it works. Also, I drill smaller holes in the bottom corners of the lure spaces to allow for it to drain. So, how come Berkley can't make this box just a tad larger and add the drain holes?? I Love this box but I only gave it a 4 because of the modifications I have to do to it for it to work as I want it too. March 9, 2014
The best for summer smallmouth fishing If you like to wade down the river on hot summer afternoons fishing for smallmouth, this item is perfect. You can store a nice variety of crankbaits, spinner baits, topwater lures and it's perfect for storing live hellgrammites, should the artificial action slow down. The way it folds down also creates a decent work surface when you're waist deep in the river. I have owned two of these for over 15 years and they have been practically indestructable. I finally broke one this season by dropping a 16 pound boat anchor on it from about 3 feet (unintentionally). Even with that, it merely popped a on inch hole in the inner lid. I came here looking to see if I could purchase a replacement for it and was thrilled to see that they are still available. The two I own have been used hard and heavy for many years and have lasted far better than I would ever have expected. July 9, 2007
handy little tackle box I have big tackle boxes with all the fixins, but, when I want to travel light, this is the perfect tackle box.It 's handy when there is rough terrain, because you have a hand free.I love these boxes and have been using them for about 20 years. June 7, 2010
Can't have enough of a good thing My husband had purchased this product many years ago and used it often, but our recent move from California, having half of our household put into storage has left us with the question of "Where did we pack that thing?" So, instead of looking for it I purchased a new one, and I bought one for a cousin for a Birthday gift that he has yet to open. I'm sure he will be pleased with it's convenience as my husband has enjoyed the many uses of his, having a tray of sorts, and lures, etc., at his fingertips has been helpful when catching the "big one" May 25, 2010
