Trout showed no interest
Recently purchased 3 containers of this for the Shelby Reservoir stocking of rainbow trout. A couple of my friends bought one container each as well.
After six hours of fishing we had a total of 3 trout, that's it. Live wax worms and 1/16oz inline spinners far out performed these. Other fisherman were dumping their nibbles into the water to go get wax worms and spinners.
Maybe it is the farm raised fish not wanting it. This may work better for native. But for me it did not work at all.
One positive, you do a get a LOT of nibbles for the $5-$7 you spend.

orignally bought for ice fishing but just used it on a fishing trip way up north pittsburgh nh at boundry pond. used the orange and the NATIVE trout went crazy for it in an hour i had cought about 7 or 8. it works awsome, just put 2 of the little balls of the bait on a size 8 hook and cover it up and cast it out.
these were native trout not stocked

Gut hooked all day
It works, but you WILL gut - hook 50% or more of the fish you catch. They just suck it right in. It just doesn't feel "sporting" to catch fish with a fish food product. It you don't intend on keeping the fish, I would not use this product. Berkley makes a micro nymph with powerbait - much better and you won't gut hook any fish.
