These baits should be illegal because the fish can't tell they're fake! I use them for largemouth bass in freshwater and for rock fish and lings in saltwater....kills' em every time.

This lure is one of my favorite things to use when bass fishing. The biggest bass I have caught so far has been with this lure. Bass seem to like the Firetiger design the most. It seems to get stuck on a lot of things, but overall it performs well

Let the fish dictate how to fish them. My suggestion is to reel them very slowly occasionally snapping the rod. If you have windy conditions, cast it directly into the wind (using a light monofilament for a slow sink rate), let it sink to the bottom, lift the bait and reel a couple times, let it go back to the bottom. Bass and crappie will hit them as it drops so your line will just feel heavy when you lift your rod. No need for a big hook set...they typically inhale the bait. For me, SLOW is the answer.Top 25 Contributor
A:
Yes, yes, yes. There really is no wrong way to fish them. You can pitch or flip them, swim them or bounce them off the bottom. The tail has enough action in them that it puts off alot of vibration

The two inch shads don't swim straight, they seem to swim down to the left. Can you do anything to the bait to fix this?Answers

My 7/8 oz did the same. I think its a design flaw. I attempted to correct this with no luck.A:
Tie a loop type of knot like on a rapala and the will swim straight- at least straighterA:
I know what you are talking about...we tried several things thinking it would help the bait.....but we always come back to straight out of pack and do very wellDetails:
If so, how did they perform?Answers

Lighter for clearer water and darker for dingy water.Top 1000 Contributor

This is a question that EACH of us anglers have asked, and why the lure industry is so lucrative. The color you want to use is going to depend on 2 things primarily, but other factors come into play as well...
1. The type of water whether it's clear or stained. If a fish can't see it, they won't bite it. A good rule of thumb is to use a bright color for stained, and a less colorful for clear. (Keep it natural.)
2. Try to choose a lure that looks as close to the baitfish in the water as you can. The fish are not going to go for something that looks out of place.

i believe u can but they wont look like this they will look like a white/gray color and u probably going to use them on a 1/0 hook if texas rigTop 1000 Contributor
A:
no, or at least ive never seen one where you can buy it unrigged.A:
No not that I am aware of I just wish they would improve the hooks and make them weedless. I would be willing to pay more money for an owner or trokar hook.Answers
A:
Take it out of the package and tie it on.When taking the lure out of the fish's mouth, use the metal rather than the plastic because it will tear if too much force is used to dislodge from the fish.
A:
comes pre-rigged ready to fish.A:
Yes it come pres rigged no need to buy hooksA:
Theese baits are pre-rigged and ready to go. The only thing you have to do is pull off a piece of clear tubing off the hoook, easier said than done. I wish the tube was shorter, going around the hook causes it to catch the barb when pulling it off.Images for this Answer

are these baits good for trout and redfish on the shallow inshore flats in florida. if so what size and color work best Anyone who has gotten good results please respond.....Answers
A:
Just got back there and they work. the two inch and the 4 inch and 6 inch would probably work better (holding up wise)A:
3" white with a green tail or the "firetiger"are completely sold out in this area. There are no flats around here but the baits catch anywhere from two feet along the banks to six and eight feet in the bay. Good luck and happy fishing.
A:
pre riggedA:
Absolutely. Catch them all the time. I like to use a 3" and the 4" size. If fish are busting bait, then I use the 4" to minimize catching rat reds and small trout. I've caught slot reds and speckled trout and even gator trout with both sizes. White, Black and white, and gold and chartreuse are my three favorite color combinations. Speckled trout and redfish like swimming irratic retreive. Founder like slow, slow, slow on the bottom retreive.A:
I shore fish saltwater most of the time. Redfish I don't know, but for Ling cod, Rock cod and greenling they're my go-to bait... 6" for fish over 24", 4" for anything with a mouth, good in shad & baby bass.A:
Great for Trout & Redfish under a rattle popping cork. Firetiger (is only color) 3" swim shadA:
I think Florida is similar to fishn in Hawaii...These lures are great here..the Jack family LOVES this lure...so does the Snapper..Answers

I have tryed every size and almost every color in every size i really trust these baits i have won 2 tornaments with the 5in. firetiger and wouldn't dare quit using it. Every color has caught fish and every size but you need to find the color and size the fish like in your area hope this helps.A:
I have had good luck with it in the summer and on rocky drops, big fish bait. A little tough on the weed lines due to open hook.Top 250 Contributor
