Great Bait! I've been slamming bass on beds with this bait! Black and Blue Flake hands down my favorite pit boss to throw.

i got a pack of these in junebug and i love the feel and color of these. they work good for flippin and punchin aswell in deeper water. i just opend up the back tied one of these on with 1/4 weight and 4 mustad ultrapoint and 2 flips in to shore and bam! a chunky 3 pound lagemouth ater up and the lake was a cold high pressured lake so i wasent expecting much but i continued to fish and i kept catchin fish! they are week tho and rip

Flipping into heavy cover is quickly becoming one of my favorite tecniques. There are so many options for plastics with this particular style and I've only tried a few of them and these pit boss's seem to work perfectly. They punch through thick grass and cover with ease and the bass seem to really like them. Haven't caught too many yet with them but I'll definitely be using them again in the future.

It all depends on what type of water you are fishing. I personally like Black/blue flake it has been very productive for me and I would recommend it to anyone.Images for this Answer

for stained water go with black and blue. For clear water choose a more natural color ie. watermelons or green pumpkin.

Generally more natural colors such as green pumpkin, watermelon, and summer craw will be more effective in clear water while brighter and more solid colors (electric blue, junebug, black/blue) will work in a stained water situation. I use the Pit Boss for flipping and pitching in thick vegetation and have found that color is not a big factor in that situation.A:
Sorry. I can only say what works on the lakes here in Missouri.Table rock lake is a deep clear lake.
Some timber, rocks, and several coves.
Stockton Lake is mostly shallow. Lots of timber. Not so clear in most places.
My color is watermellon seed for both these lakes.

This bait works best on shaky head, but I have used it texas rig which worked good.

I really like the action of this bait on any jig head or a weighted hook rigged weedless.It works very well with all kinds of retrieves.
The downside for me is that they aren't durable enough.
