Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by killer in the slop!!! great soft bait for flipping in the heavy pads or grass. vampire orange with a owner jig rig 4/0 hook set up kills for me. flip it into the pads and hold on. this bait also works well on top of the pads. craw it over the pads and let it fall into the holes. also swimming this bait in deep grass worked for me last year. bass and pickerel hit it hard. Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Flipping/Pitching Lure This quickly became my favorite flipping and pitching lure after i landed a 4 pound bass on my first cast. I spent about 2 hours on the lake and landed 2 more bass at 5 pounds and another at 4. I ended up catching several more throughout the day. I also caught 2 decent sized pike. One of my favorite soft plastics, its not the most durable but for the price, it cant be beat. I strongly recommend buying a few packs if you are interested in catching bigger and more bass. Rated 5 out of 5 by My goto The Junebug color is my go to bait. When nothing else works this is what I go to. I fish this Texas style and I will find the thickest cover. I like the compact size and the action of the four tails. Also for $2.99 it’s worth the price. The only drawback is the bait will only last a few fish because the tip will rip out. Once this happens I take the bait and urn into a chunk for my jigs. July 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Punchin' Bait I have used the Pit Boss for flipping and pitching into thick mats of vegetation and have had a lot of success. The appendages on the bait have a erratic wiggling action that triggers big strikes. It has quickly become my go-to flipping bait. July 17, 2012

I think its really about person preference. I have caught several smallmouth bass with these guys relling in fast, slow bobbing off bottom, and even motionless.

A:
I fished it T-rigged and flipped shallow water trees, also pitched it in Lilly pads as well.

Yes this is the only way I have fished this bait so far. Very productive for me! I use black and blue flake on a 4/0 EWG hook and a 1/4 oz. bullet weight pegged with a toothpick.

It all depends on what type of water you are fishing. I personally like Black/blue flake it has been very productive for me and I would recommend it to anyone.

for stained water go with black and blue. For clear water choose a more natural color ie. watermelons or green pumpkin.

A:
Generally more natural colors such as green pumpkin, watermelon, and summer craw will be more effective in clear water while brighter and more solid colors (electric blue, junebug, black/blue) will work in a stained water situation. I use the Pit Boss for flipping and pitching in thick vegetation and have found that color is not a big factor in that situation.

Sorry. I can only say what works on the lakes here in Missouri.
Table rock lake is a deep clear lake.
Some timber, rocks, and several coves.

Stockton Lake is mostly shallow. Lots of timber. Not so clear in most places.

My color is watermellon seed for both these lakes.

I really like the action of this bait on any jig head or a weighted hook rigged weedless.
It works very well with all kinds of retrieves.
The downside for me is that they aren't durable enough.

I use a 1/4 oz. mag bullet weight. All depends on the water depth/vegetation. I personally like to use a heavier weight to keep the bait on the bottom.

use a 1/4 oz bullet weight. Either tungsten of lead will work. If you are flipping it into thick weed cover go with a 3/8 or 1/2oz bullet weight.

I use a black bullet weight or a drop shot setup with a swivel so the line doesnt twist up on you. Weight varies depending on depth and current. Typically I use a 1/4 oz.

It depends on the bulkiness of the bait. For this particular bait I use a 4/0 or 5/0 EWG Z-bend hook.
