Designed by professional angler Bobby Lane, the Havoc Craw Fatty™ from Berkley® is a versatile "go-to" bait that makes use of some enhanced design characteristics. First, it has bigger ribs and a wider body for increased action and maximum disturbance in the water. Second, a thinner design in the plastic body contributes to flawless hook-sets. A great multi-purpose bait, Craw Fatty can be flipped, pitched, punched, used as a jig trailer, or rigged Texas- or Carolina-style. Made in USA.

  • Pro designed
  • Designed for increased action and maximum water disturbance
  • Great multi-purpose bait

ok bait a pretty good bait as far as catching fish goes but any flipping hook will destroy it and with an ewg or straight shank the head will slide down it usually cant handle more than 2-4 fish September 12, 2014
MEATY CRAW This fatty makes a meaty trailer for a bigger jig when you want to tempt them to move out of their comfort zone during a cold front bite. "Louisana", kind of a green pumpkin purple color, goes well with a PBJ jig. Nice flap to the claws for great water displacement. Have you checked out brother Russ' Spro Fat Papa crankbait for a different kind of cold water bite? February 17, 2014
True Fish Catching Bait! I have been using these baits for 3 years now and have had nothing but success with this bait. I consistently catch Largemouth and Smallmouth bass on this bait. Works great as a jig trailer, but have had a lot of success with this bait Texas rigged. My favorite color is Watermelon Candy. Some durability issues but the $2.99 price for an 8 count pack makes it worth it! January 7, 2014
great craw I've been impressed. This craw has great action. For the most part i've used it as a jig trailer for football and flipping jigs, its caught a lot of fish. The big concern here is durability, they rip apart in the middle a lot, although I can get more use by turning it around. And that durability isn't a huge concern when its $2.99 a pack!!! Gotta like that part. December 27, 2013

Is this a good jig trailer?

Staff Answer
A:
Yes, this is a great jig trailer. However, you will want to test this out in your area to see if the fish like the jig.

Thank you!

Absolutely BUT I frequently catch catfish while using them. I prefer to use trailers on jigs I can add the scent of my choice to.

This or rocket craw?

Answers

Staff Answer
A:
The Craw Fatty has bigger ribs and a wider body to increase action and trigger more bites, and the thinner design in the body will result in flawless hook sets. You can flip it, pitch it, punch it, rig it on a jig, Texas-rig it, or Carolina-rig it.

Flip it, drag it, pitch it, or punch it, the Havoc Rocket Craw gets the job done when money's on the line. Its incredibly lifelike profile complete with long antennae and six realistic legs only adds to its authenticity.

Both lures are great for Bass Fishing!

Thanks!

A:
It has a pretty good presentation when its fished on a Caroling rig but it is much better on a Texas rig because the flapping arms on the bait seem to flutter much more with the weight being right next to it and dragging it down.

I would think so because it is a multi-purpose bait.
