A:
Ive used size 10 egg hooks (for salmon) and rigging them wacky really seemed to get brookies driven nuts. Its in the highest percentage area of where a fish is gonna grab this worm, and the wiggling of the worm is too seductive for trout, if fishing shallow water or moving water but you can see the bait, use no weight, otherwise use weight so you can feel fish pick up the bait. Best of luck.

Theres two favourite rigs that I use for the Powerbait version, wacky rigged (i prefer no weight) and jigworm (1/32 oz jighead rigged normally, not texas) and you should do well for trout, bass, and panfish. Ive caught brookies and rainbows on the weightless wacky rig, and landlocked salmon, rainbow trout perch, rock bass, smallmouth and largemouth on the jigworm. The brookie in the pic was caught on the wacky worm, went around 12" and caught under a small tree on a small Nova Scotian stream. Apparently the gulp stuff works even better than the powerbait, but ive caught up to 15 fish on a single powerbait worm (although im not to sure on how durable the gulp is). Best of luck fishing this worm.
