Berkley has loaded these Gulp! Floating Salmon Eggs with their Gulp! attractor scent which is up to 400 times more powerful than the scents on regular plastic baits. The potent Gulp! scent rapidly disperses in the water to attract sensitive-smelling trout and salmon. Formulated to stay on the hook longer and to outperform natural salmon eggs. Now you know why these little guys are so popular! 0.56 oz. jar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by good floating bait pink/white is my favorite, floats good, but magum size barely covers #12 hook, I wont run out of these January 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gulp Vs power bate The gulp product I have been using for a couple of years and like it. The friends that I trout fish with also have switched to gulp because the outcome is better. When the fish are picky you need all the advantages yuou can get. I like the gulp wroms and minnows also October 20, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gulp Salmon Eggs This bait does the job for catching trout.I recommend this product highly. September 23, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by best trout bait I have used I never thought I would find a better trout bait than the magnum eggs. These Gulp eggs are better. they catch trout 3 to 1 over the magnum egg and those eggs catch a lot of fish The only negative is,they come off the hook too easily. August 22, 2010

How to rig these?

Details:
I'm using a size 8 circle hook but the eggs are almost the size of the hook, so before I go with a bigger hook is there any particular way to rig these? should I be using J hooks instead of circle? What size? Thanks!

listen, your not doing anything wrong, the way i rig them is with a nice leader under a small float, but when i put them on a hook i only put on one and push it up onto the eye of the hook so they wont steel it so easily and they will have to get hooked to take the bait. i also only use one because one of them will easily last 2-4 fish. hope this helps.
good luck and good fishing,

A:
If yo cover up the whole hook with the egg then the fish will not see the hook and will bite the egg. I use j hooks, but the circle hooks work just as well.

Check with your local conservation agency before using preserved baits such as these. Many have rules regarding using preserved baits in certain areas and bodies of water.
