When it comes to trout fishing, I am rather conservative. For many years I was using combination of powerbait with a small red worm on top. It is not that I did not try anything else, just that combination always outperformed all other baits. And only when I tried that white eggs, I have finally found something as good or even better!

These are one of the best smelt bait. When I go ice fishing, these are what the smelt want! They don't last long, but they work!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by duckcommander91 Lethal bait for trout
i just fished a local trout pond called Marys pond. within one hour in the freezing thawed cold water,i caught two large rainbow trout and my friend caught one that was large also. we used a bullet head weight and #8 hook size. when the weight hits the bottom of the water, these eggs float up a 8 inches off the bottom. so when trout slowly move around, they can''t resist the scent of these eggs!! these work better than live bait!!!
